Sunrisers Hyderabad might have won their match against Gujarat Titans last night which is undoubtedly a big win for them, but with it they also received a major blow on the same night which might possibly cripple them for the rest of the season. One of the key players of Sunrisers Hyderabad has suffered a major injury and if things worsen, he might even be ruled out for the rest of the season.
The player about whom we are talking about is none other than Rahul Tripathi, the hero of last night’s match who shocked everyone by taking the sensational one handed catch in the first innings to dismiss Shubman Gill. He has been one of the most dependable players in the Sunrisers Hyderabad setup this season and he has performed decently so far as well.
Rahul Tripathi got a brilliant start to his innings today as well but unfortunately he got injured after scoring 17 runs. He hit a fabulous six and pulled a muscle and was unable to continue. He retired hurt and Nicolas Pooran came in to replace him. Although SRH ended up winning the match, this is a concerning thing for SRH as if Rahul is unable to continue playing in the season going on, they are set to face a big problem
Sunrisers Hyderabad already do not have such a great squad and if they start losing out on their good players as well then they are in deep trouble and qualifying for the playoffs will be next to impossible for them. Moreover, they do not have a good replacement option for Tripathi.
