The ICC T20 Player rankings are out ! See who climbs to the top spot

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released the player rankings in tests and T20Is. Marnus Labuschagne reached to the top spot removing Joe Root who was in the position since August this year in tests.

Pakistani skipper Babar Azam reclaimed the top spot in the ICC T20 Player Rankings for batters. Babar reclaimed the position a week after losing it. With scores like 0 and 7 in the first two T20Is against West Indies, Babar slipped to the third position last week. Babar’s brilliant 79 helped him reach the top spot once again.

Babar Azam is followed by England’s left-hand batsmen Dawid Malan. Pakistan’s other opener Mohammad Rizwan who is has had his best year so far climbed to the third spot with a career best rating of 798. Rizwan reached the spot by smashing a 45 ball 87 which eventually helped his side chase 208 runs in less than 19 overs in the final game against the Windies.

South Africa’s middle order batsmen Aiden Markram has slipped to the fourth spot this week. KL Rahul was ranked Number 5 in the list with a rating of 729.

The rankings of Aaron Finch, Devon Conway, Jos Buttler, Rassie Van der Dussen and Jos Buttler remained unchanged.  

Other than KL Rahul, no other Indian batsmen has made it to the top 10 in the list of T20 batters. There is no Indian player in the list of T20 bowlers.
