1. Prashanth Parameswaran – 37 Runs

You might not know him by name but Prashanth Parameswaran has quite a name for himself in the domestic cricket circuit of India. It was the very reason why he was signed up by IPL side Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the short span of their existence in the league. Despite having been decently well throughout his run, Parameswaran is highly infamous for the one time that he conceded as many as 37 runs in a single over in IPL!
The incident occured in IPL 2011, long before the current VIVO IPL came into existence. This might actually sound weird as the maximum runs you can score in an over is 36 by every means but Parameswaran also conceded a no ball. He can not be blamed much though as the player he conceded it against, Universe boss Chris Gayle, was in the form of his life during that time.
Runs per ball: 6, nb+6,4, 4 ,6, 6, 4
2. Parwinder Awana – 33

This incident is rather recent and many die-hard CSK fans might remember it very well. It was a Qualifier match between Kings XI Punjab and CSK. Suresh Raina wrought havoc in that match while chasing and it was Parwinder Awana who was subjected the most to his wrath. In a certain over during the 200+ runs chase, Suresh Raina hit 33 runs against Awana, totally shattering his confidence for eternity. That match marked the end of Parwinder Awana’s dream rise in the IPL.
Runs per ball: 6, 6, 4, 4, nb+4, 4, 4
3. Ravi Bopara – 33

Who doesn’t know Ravi Bopara. He is hands down one of the best known spin bowlers in England and he came to try his luck in the Indian Premier League in the year 2010. However, a certain over against Chris Gayle ruined his chances of establishing himself in the IPL. He conceded 33 runs against Chris Gayle in IPL 2010. Chris Gayle used to play for Kolkata Knight Riders during that time.
Runs per ball: 1, 6, 6, 6, 6, wide+4, wide+1, 1
4. Rahul Sharma – 31

Yet another prey of Chris Gayle, but you probably remember this match. Chris Gayle played a 81 runs knock off just 48 deliveries and 31 of those runs came in a single over against Rahul Sharma of Pune Warriors India.
Runs per ball: 1, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6
5. Ashok Dinda – 30

You might be familiar with the Ashok Dinda academy joke and there is a reason for it. Ashok Dinda might have never been that bad a bowler in IPL but he has always been very expensive. The bowler who has now become a politician, once conceded 30 runs in his over during his tenure at Rising Pune Supergiants against Mumbai Indians. It was Hardik Pandya who did the damage.
Runs per ball: 6, 6, 6, 6, 4, wide, bye
