Ever since Chennai Super Kings announced Ravindra Jadeja as their new captain replacing Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian all-rounder has had a hard time getting his old form back. The pressure of captaincy has apparently taken a big hit on Jaddu’s form and he has not been able to perform well in any of CSK’s matches so far this season. However, CSK’s Ambati Rayudu pulled off a great innings of his own and took CSK to a winning position before departing. The responsibilty was then on the shoulders of MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja to win the match from there. While MS Dhoni tried but got out, Ravindra Jadeja stayed on the pitch till the very end. However, that did not stop netizens from criticising him as according to many, Jadeja’s low strike rate was what ultimately led CSK to lose this match which they should have won practically.
