IPL 2022, Mahendra Singh Dhoni who passed the baton of CSK’s captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja earlier this season has been again captaining the side after Jadeja quits the position. MS Dhoni who had led CSK to 9 IPL finals with 4 winning the same and the latest being the 2021 edition of IPL is seen again in leading the side which has been seen struggling in the matches.
Jadeja captained CSK for 8 matches out of which he managed to take his team home in only 2 matches. It’s believed the change in captaincy affected the team and jadeja also was seen struggling with both the bat and the ball under captaincy responsibilities.
The former Indian skipper took on captaincy again from the match of CSK vs SRH. Under Dhoni CSK regained its earlier form with both the openers back in tremendous form. CSK under Dhoni managed to win their 3rd match by 15 runs. CSK planned up their batting nicely with the openers’ wonderful knocks. Ruturaj was in his element, knocking 99 with Devon Conway making a record opening stand. MSD is back in the helm with CSK back to its winning days.
Fans believe the return of MSD as the captain brought CSK the luck they were missing. Dhoni who had captained CSK all these seasons brought another victory to the team and kept the hopes alive for the playoffs. CSK are now 8th on the table with 6 points and 5 more matches to go.
