Twitter reacts to Virat Kohli’s Run-Out by Yuzvendra Chahal

Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore faced each other last night at the Wankhede Stadium in the 13th match of IPL 2022 in one of the most thrilling encounters so far this season. It was not a high scoring match and neither was a low scoring thriller but it was one of the most neck to neck matches so fat this season and the winner was decided in the last few overs, owing to brilliant performance by the batting team.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first. They received a great start having picked up the important wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal early on in the match as the youngster departed for just 4 runs. Devdutt Padikkal then came in and the partnership between Jos Buttler and Padikkal set the momentum for Rajasthan Royals’ batting line-up. Jos Buttler stuck till the very end and scored a fabulous 70 off 47 that helped RR reach a respectable total of 169 runs.

Coming in to chase, RCB got a fabulous start as well as both their openers Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat were off to a great start but unfortunately both the wickets fell soon and their star performer Virat Kohli came in to bat.

However, things took an unfortunate turn when Virat Kohli was run out by none other than Yuzvendra Chahal, who was an RCB player until last season and played under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. He was given away by RCB only this season and RR bought him in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction by Rajasthan Royals for 6.5 Crores. There was a mix-up between David Willey (on-strike) and Virat Kohli (non-striker’s end). Wicket keeper Sanju Samson saw an opportunity and threw the ball to Yuzi Chahal who was just a few milliseconds faster than Kohli and then made him Run-Out.

Fans are calling this the perfect redemption for Yuzi Chahal. Let us now see how twitterati reacted to Virat Kohli’s Run-Out.
