VIDEO: Batsman hits Wicketkeeper on the Helmet with bat while trying to play Pull Shot

The game of cricket has shown us many bizarre as well as hilarious moments on the field. We have seen players colliding with players, even umpires too colliding with players. But one such incident took place recently and that too a very rare one.

In the ongoing test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, a Sri Lankan batsman was seen hitting the wicket keeper with the bat while trying to play the pull shot.

After a long break in international cricket due to COVID-19, cricket is back in its full form and entertaining audiences with its sole motive. On the very first day, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat, posting 397 runs on the board in the first innings. With Angelo Mathews’ 199 Sri Lanka managed to post 397. It was quite easy with that go for Sri Lanka to score 500 but the Bangladeshi spinners bounced back.

But the incident which caught everyone’s eye was the hit on the wicket keeper. The bowler banged in one shot down the leg and like any other batsman, he too pulled it but unfortunately mistimed it. But the follow through was such that he banged his bat in the helmet of the wicket keeper behind him but fortunately not much damage happened in any matter.
