Video: Ben Stokes repeats his action from 2019 WC in NZ Test – His bat obstructs a throw again!

Two of the best teams in World cricket, England and New Zealand, are playing against each other in a series of five test matches. The first test is taking place at Lord’s Stadium, London.

New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first. In their first innings New Zealand faced an unexpected collapse. England bowlers restricted NZ to 132.

But uncertainty in cricket is always constant. The England team also failed to make a good score in their first innings. They only scored 141.

NZ made a comeback in the 2nd innings.

Daryl Mitchell made a century 108, and Tom Blundell scored 96 and they scored a fighting score of 285 in the 2nd innings. England now in 216 for 5. Joe Root 77* and Ben Foakes 9* is in the crease after stumps of day 3.

In the 42th over, NZ’s Trent Boult was bowling to Joe Root. He hit the bowl but it went straight to a fielder. Ben Stokes was standing on the non striking end. As Joe called him for a quick single, after seeing that the bowl straight went to a fielder, Joe cancelled the call. But the fielder throws that ball to the non striking end as ben stokes was already out of the line. Somehow he came into the line, and everyone in the field was smiling. Because of its resemblance with the WC2019 final. When NZ’s Guptill threw a ball to the wickets to run out Ben Stokes but the ball got hit in his bat accidentally and it went for a four.
