IPL 2022, Rishab Pant’s DC take on Mayank’s Punjab Kings in the 64th match of the ongoing IPL season. Both are in the race to playoffs with the same points. A win in the game decides their fate in the playoffs. Punjab won the toss and invited DC to bat first. DC set a total of 159/7 and gave a challenging total to punjab. Mitchell Marsh played a wonderful knock of 63 off 48 along with Sharfaraz Khan’s destructive 16 ball 32.
Though Punjab in the second innings lost early wickets with middle order failing miserably. Among all this a comical situation took place while PBKS were batting. Bowling has been pretty good today from DC’s side.
In the 5th over of the second innings, Punjab gave a clear chance of runout to DC but the latter failed to grab it. Should have been a run out but Yadav made a comical throw with both batters stranded in the non-striker’s end. Both the batsmen survived.
The league stage of the Indian Premier League is coming to an end with teams fighting for a spot in the playoffs. 3 teams have almost qualified and it’s the third team for whom the fight is on. DC is above PBKS in the points table and would like to qualify and carry on their form.
