VIDEO: Conway is given LBW but he couldn’t use DRS due to Power Cut in stadium!

The Indian Premier League is considered the biggest cricket league in the world. But few instances question the same. Today in the match of CSK vs MI, a very minimal error occurred. Power failure in the stadium occured and Devon Conway couldn’t review his wicket.

In the 59th match of IPL 2022, the El Clasico of IPL is taking place in the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The arch rivals MI and CSK are taking on each other. Both are having a rough patch though being the most successful teams of IPL. This season has been disappointing for both the teams.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first, inviting CSK to bat first; they broke the top order and put CSK in a struggling situation. CSK lost both their openers early, even no. 3 and no. 4 batsmen also failed to anchor the innings which resulted in loss of 4 wickets for just 17 runs.

New Zealand batsman Devon Conway who has been in a tremendous form this season failed to open his account with the bat and had to go back to the pavilion scoring a golden duck. In the second ball of the innings Devon Conway padded the ball bowled by Daniel Sams and was given out by the umpire. Conway wanted to review his wicket but his request was not accepted since there was no DRS available because of powercut in the stadium. Conway had to go back after unfortunately losing his wicket as the ball was clearly sliding down leg. He took a long walk back to the pavilion disappointed.

CSK would look to win the match as it might keep them alive for the playoffs though MI lost their chances to qualify the playoffs.
