Mumbai Indians registered their first victory in the IPL 22 as Daniel Sams hit SIX, over the deep mid-wicket. After losing Eight matches, The Mumbai camp finally got relief. Earlier Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first and they managed to stop Rajasthan royals at 158. Jos Buttler played a significant 67(52).
MI lost their both openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the beginning. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma steadied MI after fall of early wickets.
Suryakumar scored a brilliant fifty of 36 balls.
Kieron Pollard, Tim David Keep played brilliantly in the end, in the 19.2, as Daniel Sams hit a six, MI registered their first victory.
Fans went crazy after this win, and looks like they have won the IPL. The emotions, all of these celebrations, are holding it back for a long time. And it’s all coming out at once.
After getting MI’s first win Captain Rohit sharma said,”I’d definitely take it (win), that’s how we play, real potential came out today, with the ball specially. They kept applying the pressure. If you keep taking wickets, it’s going to be difficult for them, we did that perfectly today.”
Suryakumar Yadav, Player of the Match: It was really important for me to play till the end, but my job at No. 3 was to take the game ahead from where Rohit left. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with the way things went. It was an important win to have a good atmosphere. Really looking forward to the few games ahead.
