Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants are currently taking on each other at the DY Patil Stadium in the 31st match of the Indian Premier League 2022 in what might prove to be a very end to end encounter. LSG and RCB have had very similar fates in the Indian Premier League so far. Both the teams currently have 8 points and are placed on the 3rd and 4th place respectively. The winner of this match will have a significant advantage over the others as far as points are concerned.
Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl first. They got a brilliant start to the innings, thanks to the sensational first over by Dushmantha Chameera in which he got not one but two big wickets – of Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli respectively. This was a major blow to RCB as two of their very good batsmen were out in the very first over and a lot of pressure was now on the shoulders of captain Faf du Plessis.
We must say that he was up for the challenge fully and he has been the one man army for RCB in this match so far. He had already scored 80- runs for the team and is still going on with apparently no plans to stop at all. RCB have currently made 160 runs in 18 overs and they have made a brilliant comeback after the tragic start to the innings and are now in a very good position to continue the match.
