Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians came face to face against each other at the MCA Stadium, Maharashtra last night in 10th April’s second encounter of the Indian Premier League 2022 and we’ve got to say that it was a thrilling encounter. Mumbai Indians set the bar very low with their first innings score of just 159 and Royal Challengers Bangalore chased it down pretty easily but it was a pretty eventful match and fans loved the encounter between The former captain of India and current captain of India (although Faf du Plessis is now the captain of RCB there’s no denying that Virat is still the team’s face).
A very wonderful incident took place during yesterday’s match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the second innings when RCB’s Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat were batting, a Mumbai Indians and Rohit Sharma fan intruded into the ground and ran towards his idol Rohit Sharma. The player was initially hesitant to interact with the fan but when the crowd started cheering for him he patted the fan and the fan was very emotional. It was a wonderful scene and even Virat Kohli who was batting at that time started clapping. This was adorable as we often see Virat Kohli fans running into the field to meet him.
Rohit Sharma’s popularity is only growing over time. He is currently one of the best and the highest rated batter in the Indian National team and he already had a huge fan following from his starting days at Mumbai Indians. However, after becoming the captain of the Indian National Team across all formats, his fandom is now more then ever.
