Indian tailender Jasprit Bumrah has just done the unthinkable. He hit 35 runs in a single over against England’s ace pacer Stuart Broad and stunned everyone. We have previously seen Yuvraj Singh hitting 6 sixes against the same Stuart Broad many years ago but a tailender doing that and that too in a Test match is simply incredible and unbelievable.
Stuart Broad had been pretty economic in the match so far until this was over and this was a huge hit on his economy. This is perhaps the most runs Stuart Broad has conceded in a single over in a test match and the fact that Jasprit Bumrah (being a bowler) did that, is kind of humiliating.
Jasprit Bumrah is leading Team India in this match as their captain in the unavailability of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul and it is the first time that a Fast bowler has been made the captain of the Indian National Test Team. And the fact that he hit 34 runs in an over against Stuart Broad in this match makes it even more special.
With this, India has gone past the score of 400 and it is a very good first innings score for them. We must say that team India is in a very good position to win the match and thus the series from here.
