IPL 2022, Delhi Capitals are taking on Punjab Kings in the 64th match of the season, at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Monday. Delhi batted first after losing the toss and scored a total of 159/6 with Mitchell Marsh’s 63 off 48 balls. Liam Livingston and Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets each. Both being the contenders for playoffs, it’s a must win game for both the teams.
Punjab in the second innings got a good start but DC bowlers turned the table on their side by dismissing the openers and the middle order got crumbled. Delhi and Punjab both have the same points of 12 but Delhi are two spots above Punjab due to net run rate.
In the 15th over of the second innings, Khaleel Ahmed came into the attack. In the fourth ball of the over Khaleel Ahmed bowled a short ball in the middle while Jitesh Sharma got into the position early and dispatched it into the stands over the deep square leg for a maximum.
DC is in a better position to win the match unless a miracle takes place to take PBKS home and into the playoffs. DC have been in a good form with the bowlers performing pretty well. They would look to take this form to the playoffs.
