Sunrisers Hyderabad is currently taking on Punjab Kings in the 28th Match of the Indian Premier League at the DY Patil stadium and the Risers have been in control so far in this match. They have picked up 4 early wickets and Punjab Kings seem under pressure. Both SRH and PBKS have the same number of points in IPL 2022 so far (6) and the winner of today’s match will rise up in the points table all the way to the third position which will be a huge jump.
Well, there has been a controversy very early on in the match between SRH and PBKS regarding a DRS decision. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl first. In the very 5th over of the match when T Natarajan was facing Prabhsimran Singh of Punjab, there was contact and Natarajan wanted to go for a review. Although captain Kane was not much convinced with it, he ultimately decided to listen to his teammates and went for the review. However, he was just on time and in fact the commentators thought that he might have been a few milliseconds slow. Whatever be the case, the Umpire allowed him to take the review and PBKS batsman Jonny Bairstow was not at all happy with the Umpire’s decision as he thought that Kane was late.
Well the review went on irrespectively and it turned out that Prabhsimran Singh was caught behind. He thus had to depart but the controversy regarding the dismissal is still going on and many are of the opinion that Kane Williamson was late.
