Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals are currently squaring off against each other in the 27th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium. Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first following the common consensus of IPL 2022 as the team bowling first has won the majority of the matches this season given the conditions at Mumbai.
Royal Challengers Bangalore seem to be in a problem right now at this point as none of their top orders batters were able to impress. After the poor start that openers Anuj Rawat and Faf du Plessis gave to RCB, Virat Kohli too was unable to impress. However, the former RCB captain was unlucky once again as he was run out after a brilliant throw by Lalit Yadav. Maxwell called for the run but Lalit Yadav was too close and by the time Kohli tried to return to the crease, it was too late. Lalit Yadav dismissed him with a bullet throw.
After Virat Kohli’s Run-Out, Glen Maxwell went on to play well and he scored a good half century which helped RCB to reach a decent total of 136 in 17 overs (still playing). Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed too play brilliant cameos though.
