IPL 2022, Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians are taking on Gujrat Titans for the 51st match of the ongoing season. GT won the toss and chose to bowl first. Mumbai while batting first had got the best start of the season from the two openers Skipper Rohit Sharma and Left hander Ishan Kishan. The openers scored 63 runs in the powerplay with a run rate of 10.5.

Hitman Rohit Sharma, who’s form was a hot topic recently has shown his class with the bat today. Rohit who was having an ordinary IPL and had only scored 155 runs in the first 9 games is seen back to his old form. He has been hitting boundaries from the start of the innings with Ishan Kishan playing safe to hold onto the field till the end.

Mohammad Shami opened the bowling attack for GT conceding just 5 runs in the first over. In the 2nd over, Alzarri Joseph came into the attack but was smashed around the park with two consecutive boundaries and a massive six in the last ball. Joseph conceded 14 runs in the second over.

Rohit Sharma who’s been known for his six hitting ability was seen missing it in the previous games. But today his six of the last ball of the second over made the day for his fans. The ball was in Rohit’s zone and he flicked it over the mid-wicket. The ball travelled all the way and got the Man of the Match winners’ car to land upon. Rohit used the pace and angle and cleared the fence.

5 time champions, Mumbai Indians are probably out of the playoffs as they only managed to win 1 game in the 9 matches they played. It’s hopeful that the champion team would be able to make a great comeback.
