Rohit Sharma seen giving valuable advice to the U-19 team

India’s newly appointed white ball captain Rohit Sharma was seen spending some quality time with the U-19 team at the National Cricket Academy during his rehabilitation.

The 34-year-old was ruled out of the three match Test series against South Africa due to a hamstring injury he sustained. Rohit is currently present at the NCA in Bengaluru where he is recovering from his injury along with Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja has been ruled out of the tour to the Rainbow Nation due to a knee injury.

India’s U-19 team is also present at the NCA and are preparing for the 2022 U-19 Cricket World Cup. The tournament is set to start from next month in West Indies. The global event is scheduled to start from January 14,2022 and will end on February 5, 2022. India will play their opening match against South Africa on January 15 in Guyana. Team India will then face Ireland and Uganda in the Group Stage.

Before the start of the World Cup, the U-19 team will play the Asian Cup which is set to begin from December 23.

Rohit made the most of his time at NCA spending some quality time with the U-19 team and also sharing his experience which he has gathered over the past years.

The BCCI shared some pictures where the newly appointed skipper was seen giving some valuable advice to the kids.

Rohit Sharma also shared the picture from his official Instagram handle. He captioned the post as, “Nice speaking to the future of Indian cricket…”

Rohit was recently made the vice-captain of Team India in the longest format of the game. He was also made the full-time skipper of Team India in limited overs cricket.

Rohit will recover within three to four weeks and will join the team in South Africa to play the limited overs series. India A skipper Priyank Panchal has replaced Rohit Sharma for the test series.
