West Indies tour to Pakistan begins today with the first odi taking place at Multan Cricket Stadium. West Indies on winning the toss elected to bat first. Batting first West Indies set a massive target of 305/8 on the board in 50 overs. Pakistan begins their chase with a required run rate of nearly six.

Though in the first innings Pakistan managed to take an early breakthrough but opener Shai Hope and S Brooks brought the game on the track with an astonishing partnership of 154 runs. Hope played on to score a century and Brooks managed to score 70 runs.

But what caught everyone’s eye was the wicket of S Brooks. Brooks was batting on 70 with Mohammad Nawaz into the attack in the 31st over. In the last ball of that over Brooks looked to hit the ball hard but got the leading edge and an unbelievable catch was caught in the short third man position by Shadab Khan. The ball getting the outside edge went up in the air and Shadab from the gully position ran all the way and took a one hander while diving in the air. The catch took the hearts of the audience.

Pakistan are now chasing and have also lost their first wicket early. Though it seems a good partnership is building between Imam-ul-haq and Babar Azam. Pakistan would like to win this match on their own soil.
