Gujarat Titans stole victory from the hands of Chennai Super Kings last night in the 29th match of IPL 2022 as they went on become the table toppers of the season with these two points. They are marginally ahead of the other teams with 10 points in 6 matches. They lost just one match and won 5 matches out of them. Talking about the performance of last night, Chennai Super Kings had the game in their hand for the most of it but the individual brilliance of David Miller and Rashid Khan won the match for GT. However, CSK had a big change of changing the fate of the match which they missed miserably and fans are blaming the player who committed the mistake for the loss now.
The player about whom we are talking about is Shivam Dube. In the 17th over of the match when GT needed 50 runs to win in 22 delivers, David Miller was facing Dwayne Bravo and he played a callous lofted shot against him. It was a loose shot and could be caught. Although Shivam Dube was very close to the ball, he had a brain freeze moment and did not even attempt to catch the ball.
This infuriated Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja and Bravo demanded for a change in the fielding position immediately. David Miller went on to win the match for GT and had he been dismissed on that ball, CSK might as well have won the match.
