In the ongoing fifth and final Ashes test at Hobart, Stuart Broad gets the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne on the cusp of Dinner break.
England took full control of the match by removing three Aussies batsmen for just 12 runs in the first 45 minutes of the day’s play. David Warner was the first one to walk to the pavilion as he failed to open his account. Usman Khawaja who scored two centuries in the SCG test had to walk away after scoring just six off 46 deliveries. Steve Smith failed to score a run as he got out off Ollie Robinson’s bowling.
But Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne took charge of the innings and started to move the scoreboard for the Aussies.
However, the world’s No.1 ranked batsman was dismissed in a peculiar fashion. The incident took place in the first ball of the 23rd over of the game. The 27 year old shuffled a bit towards the off stump in an attempt to play the ball towards mid-wicket. But unfortunately his front foot slipped towards the off-side which brought him in an awkward position. Stuart Broad rattled his stumps as Labuschagne fell to the ground.
