Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently taking on each other in the 36th match of the Indian Premier League and it has so far turned out to be completely in favour of the Risers. The SRH bowling unit is undoubtedly the best in IPL 2022 and they have proven it time and again this season. They are doing it yet another time in their match against RCB now and their bowlers, especially Marco Jansen has given them a flying start to the match.
In the match being played at the Brabourne Stadium, SRH won the toss and opted to bowl first. In the very second over, RCB lost 3 big wickets – Anuj Rawat, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli and it was a major blow to the Challengers as 3 of their vital cogs in the batting lineup had departed within just two overs. More shocking was the fact that this was Virat Kohli’s second successive Golden duck in the Indian Premier League this season and this is the first time that it took place. Fans were already very upset and shocked when Kohli departed on a golden duck in the previous match and after he repeated it in this match as well, the fans and even the analysts are more stunned than ever.
Virat Kohli is currently suffering from a big drop in form and he must regain his performance soon lest he be removed from the Starting XIs altogether as let’s face it, Virat Kohli is not the captain anymore and he will have to perform to keep his spot in the team intact.
RCB are now 7 wickets down for just 55 runs and if things start to go on like this, they might as well break their own record of the lowest ever total in the Indian Premier League.
