VIDEO: Virat Kohli laughs as Mohammad Siraj bowls a freebie to Dean Elgar

During the final innings of the Boxing Day Test match, Mohammad Siraj bowled a freebie to the Proteas skipper Dean Elgar who smashed it for a four. After the South African skipper smashed a boundary, Virat Kohli was seen laughing.

Team India had put up a target of 305 in front of the home team after being bowled out for 174 in the 2nd innings of the game.

While chasing down the target of 305, Aiden Markram fell too quickly as he managed to score a run off 7 deliveries. But skipper Dean Elgar was there on the pitch and kept the scoreboard moving for the Proteas. Keegan Peterson who came to bat at No. 3 did not stay on the pitch for long as he managed to score 17 off 36 deliveries which comprised of three boundaries.

With a few overs left in the day’s play, nightwatchman Keshav Maharaj came on to bat in the final session of Day 4.

The incident took place in the 38th over of the final innings when Mohammad Siraj was bowling to Dean Elgar. Siraj bowled a freebie to the Proteas skipper. Siraj bowled a slow and short delivery to Elgar who was sitting for it and smashed it through sweeper cover for a boundary. With that boundary, Elgar reaches close to his fifty.

The Indian captain was seen laughing at Mohammad Siraj’s poor delivery.
