Yuzvendra Chahal has just turned the tables in the ongoing match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians with his individual brilliance in a single over and thus contributed a lot in Rajasthan’s win over Mumbai Indians. At one point, MI looked completely in charge of the match during Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan’s fabulous partnership but after Ravichandran Ashwin picked the wicket of Tilak Varma, it was the first big blow to Mumbai Indians. Yuzvendra Chahal then came in to pick up two big wickets in successive deliveries and brought the match in RR’s favour. However, he missed his much deserved century owing to a mistake by his own teammate.
Yuzvendra Chahal was on a hattrick when Murugan Ashwin came in to bat. Ashwin being a tailender was going to be easy prey of Chahal and it proved to be right when he played a callous shot straight towards substitute fielder Karun Nair for whom it was going to be an easy catch. However, in the most unfortunate way, he dropped the catch and with it also dropped Yuzi’s chance to complete his hattrick. This was a wonderful opportunity by the bowler to achieve this great feat and fans are now criticising Karun Nair.
However, Rajasthan Royals went on to win the match by 23 runs and this is their second successive win in IPL 2022. Rajasthan are looking to be a very strong side who are capable of achieving wonders this season and it won’t be a surprise if they end up lifting their second IPL trophy this season.
