WATCH: Babar Azam dismisses Alex Carey with a sensational Spin delivery

Many might not know this but Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is a terrific bowler as well besides being arguably one of the best batters in the world. And his bowling skills are not like Virat Kohli who generally used to bowl randomly for fun (although he bowled the final over the semi-final of the 2018 T20 World Cup between India and West Indies) and Babar Azam is seen bowling in the longest format of the game quite often. In fact, the Pakistan skipper ended up taking a fabulous wicket in today’s match between Pakistan and Australia.

Pakistan and Australia are currently squaring off against each other in the second test match of their 3-match series. In the match being played at the Karachi National Stadium, Australia won the toss and opted to bat first. It turned out to be the best decision for them as they ended up with a mammoth first innings score of 556/9 (declared). As a response, Pakistan’s innings collapsed within the second session of Day 3. The hosts are currently 100/7 and they have pretty much lost the game already.

The only dependable batter who still remains on the pitch is Babar Azam who stands as the lone barrier between Australia and victory. He held the innings from one side but sadly none of the other Pakistani batters could support him.

Babar Azam gave a brilliant performance in the first innings with the ball as well. He bowled only 4 overs but picked up the big wicket of Alex Carey with a beautiful spin delivery. The ball fell right in front of the off stump and turned inside, fooling Alex Carey who was going for a sweep.

Carey had already scored 93 runs by that time and was causing all sorts of troubles for Pakistan. His dismissal was thus a big breakthrough.
