The Big Bash League 2021 is at a very interesting stage right now. In today’s match, Melbourne Stars played against Big Bash League and it ended up being a high scoring thriller. Melbourne Stars won the match pretty convincingly but Brisbane looked promising in the middle as well.
Despite falling over 20- runs short of Melbourne’s gigantic target, two of Brisbane Heats’ batsmen, namely English player Ben Duckett and Aussie opener Chris Lynn were exceptional.
After the early dismissal of Max Bryant, Chris Lynn took charge of the innings single handedly. He scored 57 off 34 which gave Brisbane Heats a promising start in their run chase. However, the required run rate was still too high and just when Lynn tried to take things to the next gear, Qais Ahmed got the better of him.
It was all upto Ben Duckett after that as none of the remaining batsmen were able to impress and succumbed to the pressure of the huge target. Unfortunately Duckett could not make runs fast as the batters on his other end were falling down like a deck of cards. But still the Englishman managed to score a half century. He was extremely smart in his shot selections throughout the match and that can be understood by this particular shot that he hit for a six.
It was sort of a switch hit giving us Maxwell vibes but Ben Duckett added his own touch to it. The video of the unique shot went viral in no time and fans started calling him ‘Maxwell Lite’.
