Mumbai Indians won the toss and put Punjab Kings to bat first
Mumbai quickly removed Mandeep inside powerplay .After the powerplay they removed Rahul and Gayle quickly.
Aiden Markram and Deepak Hooda played brilliantly from 48/4 to rebuild the partnership for Punjab Kings innings and with their 61-run partnership looked set to push for some late runs.
Punjab just maneged to score 135 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.Very poor performance from Punjab in must win situation game.Average first innings score is 160 ,but couldn’t able to score 150 also in this pitch.
However, Rahul Chahar struck at the right time for Mumbai Indians with the wicket of Markram to dent their hopes of crossing 150 + score.
Krunal bowl to Gayle ,Gayle hit very hard straight back to K L Rahul’ . The ball hits him and deflects behind Krunal. KL is took the ball in the hand dislodged the stumps. Krunal flicks the bails in a flash and goes up in an appeal for a moment. The umpire opts for a replay but Krunal plays it down and asks to play on! He gets Rohit’s support and KL sends a thumbs up to the MI skipper.
It was great sportsmanship from krunal Pandya and as well Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma by not taking the replay .they will surely get valuable points in fairplay award list
That was an impressive bowling performance from Pollard to get rid of Gaylestorm and KL Rahul with bowling figures of 2/8 in 1 over .
