In an absolute run fest at the County Ground Bristol, England beat South Africa by 41 runs to lead the 3 match T20I series by 1-0. A total of 497 runs and 29 sixes scored in the match combinely by both the teams.

The Odi series between these side ended in draw as the third game washed out due to rain. In the absence of their regular skipper Temba Bavuma, David Miller is captaining the South African side for the 3 match T20I series.

After winning the toss the South African skipper David Miller opted to field first which went absolute wrong for the Protease. As the host England scored 234 runs in the 20 over and settled a target of 235 for the Protease. For South Africa Lungi Ngidi picked 5 wickets .

In reply of England’s 233, South Africa scored 193 and lost the match by 41 runs. Reeza Hendricks scored 57 and Tristan Stubbs scored 72 runs for South Africa. Richard Gleeson picked 3, Reece Topley and Adil Rashid picked 2 wicket respectively for England.

Moeen Ali adjudged as the player of the match for his brilliant allrounding performance who scored a half-century and picked a wicket too.
