The Indian bowlers did incredibly well on Day 3 of the first test between India and South Africa. After the India batters fell down one after the other like a deck of cards right from the beginning of the day, the visitors needed a strong start through their bowlers and they did just that.
India’s pace trio – Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj picked up as many as 4 wickets within just 67 runs of South Africa and pinned the hosts by the wall at the very beginning of their innings.
However, what caught the eyes of the audience most was Mohammad Siraj’s celebration. The Indian pacer picked up the important wicket of Rassie Van der Dussen (caught behind) and did Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous ‘Suiiiii’ celebration.
We have seen cricketers doing famous celebrations before – like Virat Kohli’s notebook celebration and Joe Root’s bat drop celebration. But this is probably the first time that a cricketer did a famous footballer’s celebration and that too on such a big match.
Fans went bonkers over the video that went viral in minutes. Cristiano Ronaldo fans shared the video extensively and concluded that just like Virat Kohli, Mohammad Siraj is a huge fan of the Portuguese footballing superstar as well.
Mohammad Siraj has so far picked up one wicket on Day 3 of the first test and he has been one of the best performers of the day.
