The two match test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka ended in draw. After Pakistan winning the first test match by chasing a gigantic total of 342, Sri Lanka drew the series after winning the second test by a mammoth margin of 246 runs.
While in the first match Pakistan played really well and chasec 342 in the fourth innings. Abdullah Shafique the new batting sensation of Pakistan stayed not out in the fourth innings at 160* and played 408 deliveries. Abdullah Shafique has been superb throughout the first match alongside the Pakistani skipper Babar Azam who scored a century and half-century in the 4th innings.
However, in the second match After winning the toss the Sri Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne opted to bat first but Sri Lanka got all-out for just 378 runs in the frst innings, thanks to Chandimal’s crucial 80. In reply of Sri Lanka’s 378 Pakistan scored just 231.
Dhananjay De Silva took Sri Lanka’s lead to 517 by scoring a brilliant century and while chasing a target of 518. Pakistan able to score only 261, once again the skipper Babar Azam top scored with an outstanding 81 in a tough pitch.
Dhananjay De Silva awarded as player of the match while Prabath Jayasuriya adjudged as the player of the series.
