Indian Wicketkeeper and Bengal star Wriddhiman Saha have been in talks recently. The right hander batsman has recently featured in the IPL 2022 for the champions team Gujarat Titans. Saha played as an opener for GT and has contributed significantly for them in the top order though he failed to contribute with the bat in the finals night.
Saha also has been the front line Wicketkeeper batsman for India in tests after Dhoni announced his retirement back in 2014. However he was dropped from the side in the last series of India in red ball cricket which was against Sri Lanka. He won’t be part of the upcoming one-off England test as well.
The Wicketkeeper has also made himself unavailable for the Ranji trophy 2022 after the harsh call. Looking to which the Cricket Association of Bengal wasn’t pleased on his call and also slammed him publicly.
It is now not hidden about the rift in the relationship between Saha and the Cricket Association of Bengal. Reports claimed that the two had some conflicts which are still unsolved.
Meanwhile, reports came out claiming that Wriddhiman Saha has left the team WhatsApp group of Bengal on the verge of Ranji Trophy knockouts. He is all set to miss the knock-out as well. Simplifying the fact that Saha 15 years tenure with Bengal is set to be concluded. The wicket-keeper has asked for an NOC from the state board to permit him to play from any other state in the domestic tournaments.
